Tehran Electric Company officially began its activities in the field of medical equipment in 1975. Through sustained efforts, the company succeeded in introducing imaging systems under renowned brands such as Medison, Mindray, Listem, Comed, and Toshiba, and in recent years, for the first time, imported medical equipment from brands including Welld, Brunswick, and Elmed into Iran. Tehran Electric has since been recognized as a reputable and well-established commercial brand in Iran’s medical equipment market, and today, many prominent and experienced radiologists refer to Tehran Electric as a trusted and long-standing supplier of imaging systems.

Tehran Electric currently holds exclusive representation of Somethy (France) for hydrotherapy tubs, Daesung (South Korea) for radiology film processors, and Rodriguez Lopez (Spain), one of Europe’s leading ambulance manufacturers.

The company holds a license under Clause 2 of the Note to Article 55 of the Transaction Regulations of Universities of Medical Sciences, enabling it to proceed with direct procurement (without tender procedures) for equipping healthcare centers. In this capacity, Tehran Electric has been actively involved in supplying medical equipment required by universities of medical sciences, public and private hospitals, and in equipping healthcare centers affiliated with medical universities, private institutions, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers of the Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Foundation.

Additionally, on April 26, 2015 (1394/02/06), the company obtained a pharmaceutical activity license from the Legal Qualification Commission (Drug and Biological Product Manufacturing and Import Authorization) of the Department of Drug and Narcotics Supervision and Evaluation at the Food and Drug Organization of the Ministry of Health.

With nearly half a century of experience in the supply of various medical equipment, execution of hospital equipping projects, and consultancy in comprehensive healthcare technology services, Tehran Electric is regarded as one of the leading companies in these fields.

Since 2017, following the establishment of a new management team, Tehran Electric’s objectives have expanded beyond the import of medical equipment to include serious engagement in manufacturing and export activities. Concurrently, the company has initiated research, studies, and expert evaluations, particularly in the field of herbal medicines. It is hoped that in the coming years, Tehran Electric will continue its upward trajectory and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the healthcare sector of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
